I was told the original principal who contracted with me was removed from the LLC and a new principal is in charge.I believe this change of principals is a taxable event in Maryland and I've verified with the State that no taxes were paid by the LLC. I threatened the new principals with exposure to the State unless the paid me the monies due me under my original contract. Does this threat rise to the level of extortion?
