LA Legal Questionincriminating a friend?
Arrests, Searches, Warrants & Procedure
I live in Louisiana. I was recently pulled over for speeding. When the cop came to my vehicle, he saw an unopened empty syringe on my seat. When he asked what it was for, I told him it was for a friend who takes steroids. He searched my vehicle and found nothing else illegal. He asked who it was for,and I told him my friends first and last name. I did not give the suffix of his name or his address. Is that incriminating for my friend?

LA Legal QuestionI need help bad please!!!
Drug Charges
OK! A friend and I were arrested april 14th of this year. Ok, im gonna make it quick..State:Louisiana. Parish:Vernon. We were pulled over for a seatbelt violation. It was my car, and my friend was in the passenger seat, with a half pound under the passenger seat. I had a sks on the backseat, and a 357 on the front between us. We were pulled over as soon as we entered his driveway. He came up to the car, seen the guns, asked if they were loaded, and i told them yah, then had me step outside, hands on hood. He pulled my friend out, called backup. We were patted down and placed in cuffs. Then we were put to stand on the side of the cruiser. He came and asked me if he could search, i told him no cuz this was bull**** gettin searched for a seatbelt violation. Well, cops bein cops, searched while they were askin me......They found the weed....Asked us whos it was, and well, we both played stupid. So we were both takin in, and questioned seperately. Good cop, bad cop, u no the deal..They asked me whos guns it was, i told them it was mine, they asked whos weed it was, i said i dunno...Well my friend finally took the rap, even signed a statement sayin it was his, and that i had no knowledge. well the cop came back in, told my arresting officer that my friend had took the charge and that they could either let me go or book me.....they booked me.....now were both being charged with the same thing....I just got outta my public defenders office, and hes saying im most definitely serving time. Ive never had any trouble with the law except a dtp by fighting. I have a very good job, which ive been working a lil over a year and ten months. I just enrolled into rehab, hoping this will help sentencing....What does the outcome look like for me? Jail time? Or some drug court and probation......

THANKS

LA Legal QuestionMinor in Possession Question- 19 year old in Louisiana
Other Crimes – Federal and State
A few weeks ago, three of my friends and I went to a local gas station. Three of us were 19 and the fourth friend was 21. My 21 year old friend was hosting a large party that night where there would be alcohol (for those 21 and older) and he needed help bringing the cases back to his car. Each one of the people present helped carry the cases to the front of the store, where the cash register attendant refused to sell us the alcohol because he asserted that "it'd be given by minors" and that everyone in the group present had to be 21. We conceded without complaint, and my underage friends and I carried the cases back to the beer area of the gas station. As soon as we began walking to the front door, several undercover cops approached us and asked all four of us for identification. We were taken outside and the three minors were written up for "minors in possession", while the 21 year-old walked away with no charges. This was the first infraction for each of us. Our court date is coming up next week and I was wondering what my best prospects are: fight the charge and argue that we never technically possessed the alcohol or simply plead guilty? It doesnt quite seem like we should have been charged with MIPs.

I doubt it matters, but the incident took place in New Orleans (a city generally known for its lax alcohol enforcement) and we are students at Tulane University. Any advice? Thanks.
