Subpoena |
| Arrests, Searches, Warrants & Procedure |
| I have been subpoenaed to appear in a Municipal court for a case of property damage by somebody when an intoxicated person broke my light. I'll be out of country on that day as I had booked my tickets 3 months ago. What are my options?

what to do? |
| Arrests, Searches, Warrants & Procedure |
| MD My son was charged with destruction of public property. The result was a plea bargain for a misdemeanor with 2 years supervised probation plus$1200.00 fine in restitution. I’m looking to have that changed to a 2 years unsupervised probation so he can leave the state to visit or live with his children in Colorado. What do you suggest? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Out-of-state DUI license revocation |
| Drunk Driving / DUI / DWI |
| I am a resident of New Mexico, was convicted of DUI in Colorado in October 2008, and my Colorado driving privileges were revoked for one year. Several lawyers advised me not to tell the New Mexico DMV about it, and let them find out from CO. It has been nearly a year, and last I checked, NM still has no record of this revocation. As far as they know, my record is clean and my NM license has been valid this whole time. It's now time for me to apply to Colorado to have my driving privileges reinstated, but to do this, I'm required to bring a form to the New Mexico DMV so they can sign off on the reinstatement. This would surely let them know about the revocation (they'd probably eventually find out anyway). What happens if NM only finds out about another state's revocation after the period of revocation has expired? Can they still revoke my NM license and make me apply for an interlock license for the next year, even though it has already been a year since the original conviction and I've had no citations or accidents? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Mexico

Home Search warrant |
| Arrests, Searches, Warrants & Procedure |
| A past employer who has a serious mental problem got a warrant to have my home searched for items she said were stolen from her. Police could not find anything that she claimed so no household items were removed. They did take several bottles of prescription medication that were under various names which were not related to the case they were investigating. These were not on the warrant nor was it suggested that any such would be on premises. Is this Ok for them to do and to make a seperate case for such?
